The Weeknd >>> The Dream. Abel's work makes me love his words way more than The Dream. Echoes of Silence is awesome, I mean, the cover of MJ's Dirty Diana. It sounded like a great tribute to MJ, not like he tried to create a better version of the song. H.O.B. is one of my most played mixtapes atm, one of the best of 2011 also in my eyes. Glad Abel finally gets some recognition.
Everybody jumping on Abel's wave now after Crew Love. I've rated him since HOB. Don't matter that he ain't sold a single unit yet, his quality of music > The Dream's.
The Dream has some great songs. I think the fact he isn't relevant right now is the reason the Weeknd getting love over him. The Weeknd can be boring as hell. Sorry. I can't go through one of his 3 mixtapes on a single listen. He can't hold my attention but thats me. Theres really good songs but everything is a love song on drugs or a drug song on love lol.
