Video Game Console and Speakers= Problems?

Someone told me the other day that placing your game system (in this case, his xbox360) on top of your speaker tower creates issues with the system.

Something to do with the magnets inside?

any validity to this?

I dont think it would effect it. I've never heard anything like that

I heard of shit like that happenening. SOmething about the magnets frying the hardware or wiping the HDD I guess.
