dope battle..

spit... my favorites from you were the opening two and the goodyear bar.. the caps/knees one, i loved the concept but the wording was ehh. the rest of the verse was solid.. felt a little unpolished [thanks for the word young p, describes it perfectly].. but some good shit.

young p... i liked a lot of your concepts, and they had a profession feel... you did an excellent job at tying the setups into the punches.. i think you had too many girl disses though. should've cut it down to just two, and spread the two out instead of having three girl disses in the first four bars of your verse. personally i dont like those kinda disses as much as disses against the personality/skills of the person your facing. it doesnt seem as hard. my favorite disses from you were the beating in patterns one, the plural form thing, and the never see again line.

nice job fellas, this battle was hella close.. i think if P wouldve cut down on the girl disses, and refined a few lines he wouldve won, or if spit would've reworded some of his shit he would've won. but nobodys perfect... still was a dope battle. i hate voting on battles this close - so my vote is

ok, i did line for line, then i read it all straight through. I think Spit had more swagger, more character in his verse, but i wasn't really feelin some of the personals, and i thought if you were gonna do some pic lines, you shoulda really nailed him, and i didn't think you did. Philly had some nice lines, some nice general punches, Spit probably won on the personal edge, but unfortunately i haven't been around here enough to really distinguish what personals were good and what really weren't. Basically, what allowed me to choose the winner here was 2 of Spit's lines. The grow nuts on your chin one, and the coke/lines in the trash one................ those were just MAD old playa, no offense to you whatsoever i do the same shit, but i didn't see any lines in Philly's verse that i would necessarily call 'played' maybe the Jordan one, so i'm basically gonna say that downpoint in Spit's verse is why i'm votin for Philly.
