i took a walk round my block one hazy afternoon
stoned already, had a glaze to get fractured soon
i saw a lady with her kids, yelling at the top of her voice
beating the biggest one, about to be dropping her boys
i saw a front yard with a broken sofa, newspaper littered
rusted metal, pavement cracks, practically blistered
i felt the paranoia set in, i felt like retching
no sense of pride in my environment, it was only guesting
i saw a junkie stretched flat out, begging for change
i couldn't fund his habit so... let him remain
i guess its the same shit, different city, same planet
so escape is impossible, from this insane granite
but damn it, i wasn't out for ten fucking minutes
til i turned on my heels, retreated, ducked and finished
went back to my mattress, another joint rolled
and puffed away my troubles from this disjointed road

these days each day my block displays more facades
I thought I locked the door but still my whore escaped
I see a dog starin at a wall like he got x-rays
But he just popped his second X straight
Off chasin’ his black shade till he gets jacked
By gangsta cats who pimp slap his plaque face
Couple more steps and I’m back safe in the building
Yet won’t get safe as a feeling
Matter of fact I’m more afraid to get plated by the ceiling...

This wasnt ur best verse Berlin, i done seen u drop some madd hot shit wit multis n errything like our OM. U still came aiight on it, some lines was better then others jus dint feel alot of what u said. Johnny u got madd imagery in there wit facts bout shit, i could relate to alot of it. Especially bout tryna smoke ur troubles away. Good emotion.
