that is true. I think the difference from the great depression and now, is that even the rich were having a difficult time with the depression. Rich people don't be under the same duress as they were back then.

but on the other side of the coin, a lot of his suggested programs are the same kind of idea which got us here in the first place, due to the same advisers being on from the bush terms. The new deal, which brought us out of the great depression, is what we need. Fresh ideas, and destruction of the ones that go us here in the first place

They just handed over an enormous amount of legal power over small businesses to the giant corporations. And they all agreed on it 89-9. Bullshit. IP is a fucking joke. ideas are not legitamite property as they are non-tangible and never in short supply.
It's a state granted monopoly which allows one to tell another what they can and can't do with their own property.
IP also drives up the price of goods by hampering innovation, creating unneccesary legal fee's and making it easier for the big boys to block competition.

In Opie's case, they've made it harder for him to fully own his labor.

For the record... The New Deal did nothing but expand entitlements. World War II brought us out of the depression by opening up manufacturing jobs and putting Americans back to work at the expense of the government, which added to the deficit. The last thing that we need is a new New Deal...
