life from the start is pitiless, full of broken homes
all rays of hope have grown - so dark and hideous
the cities heart's insidious and no room's inside it
yes this tomb is silent filled with doom and violence
always watched by glass towering brooding giants
no democracy only hypocrisy - consumed by tyrants
the philosophy adopted seems to center on greed
the lower class hopeless mass is tormented indeed
while fat cats lounge with souls full of rot gone sour
smiling wide, laughing loud sitting atop their towers
below is sadness and gloom, the blackest of moods
millions packed in a room to wait for rations of food
crammed lacking the room to lift up an arm or stretch
people fall on the flooring begging god for armistice
once majestic and grand the land's become desolate
spent years creating hell, now man has been sent to it
cities ferocious with decay - hope has gone astray
full of cockroaches in a maze, lost, hopeless in a daze
truth has died in these brutal times – the cold resumes
while second children are euthanized and sold as food
the terror is astonishing and all hope is honestly through
cut throat crews role through, it's a somber ominous mood
they mob and then rob you soon as they see a movement
life's so bad endless nightmares would be an improvement
only escape is sleep or death from this evil stress
where any weakness gets your neck cleaved in secs
many need protection but there only is villains
homeless and starving broken and lonely civilians
so enjoy your seat at your computer
and prepare for this dark city of the future

A princess screams…extinguished, in a pink dress sleeve-less,
she is still…still as trees leaves swept in a windless breeze,

In this scene, each lint is teamed to infest dreams, but if ever lit,
the mind’ll twine ‘till inked...impressed by wicked things,

Her garb an…armour; yet worthless at averting hurt or drama,
it simply harbours horror; father’s incest a hint-less seam,

Stitched between, her theme so mute…she, was a beauty in youth,
face captivating & cascading canvas’ with her paintbrush,

She’d paint stuff, make-up made up not a fraction of her form,
her attraction made dudes aloof go spastic & after her swarm,

… ”But that was an eternity ago” …

The noose was a route, she thought, she was taut but no equal,
when first he fought, unwound & feeble for his cold evil,

“Look at this new dress I bought”…seeing what she’d die in,
resigned…sighing she…hides it all, confining…inclined to silence,

Switch to darker moods, each mark or bruise, of a darker hue,
sparks a new stark review of her body parts through which she starts to view...

…how her skin is stained, not enough that her hearts apart in two,
Every din contained…her eyes arc the room, she spots a shard of blue…

…glass, a sliver…of a mirror that once hit hard when threw,
she lifts her head & begins to dread…her vision meets a work of art abused.
