10 grand is pretty standard for new producers making placements on a major record.
If your connections are right tho you can swing 15 to 20.
J Lac got 20 for "Get It Shawty" by Lloyd... but J Lac is Usher's little brother, so that goes without saying he has connections to net him more when he scores a placement.
When it comes to placing tracks as a producer it's not about how big the ARTIST is... it's about how big YOU are. Which is why producers technically stand to make MUCH more money than artists do off records.
