Following the Leader


We’re following the leader,
through the fire and flames.
Up the tallest of mountains,
and across the longest plains.

Until the rain drowns us all,
as the sun resurrects society.
Falling under the influence,
while driving into a deity.

Causing abyss to collapse,
giving a reason to end it.
Brothers spread rumors,
while the heart defends this.

Love can never be broken,
it can only be tainted.
Other’s can only attack,
yet are unable to stain it.

Painting a picture for life,
as darkness observes you.
Agony tries to copy write
as it follows a leader too.

We fall in love like everyone else,
somebody always tries to break it.
Jealousy seems a little contagious.

they say there's nothing new under the sun. I try to set a new path for myself coz i have 'my whole life ahead of me', as they say, but its frustrating that probably its still a beaten path. There's just a tendancy to follow

Thats a great piece man. felt it on a personal level. i like the way you presented the bit of ideas into stanzas though the fourth verse came a little suddenly to me. the train of though must have slipped at three.
the last three ones, to me, had alot of distance between them i.e presented diffrent ideas, though thats where i enjoyed it most. an aspect of futility in trying to be diffrent?
