Im having trouble recording. I put the beat on and then when I try to record it records the beat on the new track also. why wont it just fuckin record the vocals on the new track? fuck its like recording anything thats playing on my comp.

I never recorded in Cool Edit. I record in Acid Pro and mix in Cool Edit.

yah, use headphones, and if ur cheap then use a playstation mic, its headphone and a mic, lol

im using headphones and a mic? its not the noice coming from the headphones either. it doesnt even matter if nothings plugged in. its recording whats playing on the comp
are u puttin them on different layers and shit, turn the volume of the beat down aswell
change the output source you dumbass
Just use Mixcraft, that's easier.
