Genie. A beautiful baby girl, unwanted by her father,
Locked away in the basement, no love for the daughter
Basic food given, no one to love her, no attachments,
Mother pleaded with father, but got no retractions
Mother was weak, father was strong, bad from the start,
Genie was ‘nobody’. This cut like a dagger in the heart
Years passed. Genie was 5, still lived a life in exile,
The torment she suffered, for what? Mother in denial
Father grew worse. Beatings occurred, Genie was scarred,
Emotionally, physically. & this a ‘father’? No, a bastard
Tied to a chair, Genie had no way to communicate,
And at this rate, Genie had to chance to emancipate
This degenerate! Bastard father showing no sign of remorse,
From the gates of heaven to the steps of Hell & the doors…
…this father deserves worse for the suffering he has caused,
Mother pleads now, too little too late? Still…no remorse
More years pass. Genie enters her teens, mother is keen…

Is this really care? No one wants what’s really best for her
No speech, just a cold stare from her deep, sorrowful eyes,
‘Its ok Genie, you’re safe now’ is told from diligent lies
No one can compare to her ordeal, from all social defiance,
But when you look in her eyes, impossible to quote the silence
Why did she have to suffer? Why go through all of the violence,
Nothing can be done now, all I can do is quote her silence…
