Reason for voting it in: despite it being a 5-1 landslide victory for Mariah, this battle was dope and much closer than the votes made it out to be. Bounce voted for Nique for fuck sake, and even though I voted for Mariah (I must've been in middle school or high school and garbage at writing) looking back at it, there's no fucking wake she won by almost a KO. 5-4 or 5-3 maybe. People still to this day think Nique won this battle and I've never heard anyone say anything bad about the battle itself. Both verses are mint quality and it honestly might've ended differently had more experienced writers voted on it at the time.
